Our Stories are Universal

A two-story house with a dark blue exterior, white trim, and a red metal roof, featuring a front porch with white railings and columns, surrounded by a grassy yard enclosed with a chain-link fence. There are two children in the yard, one holding a garden tool, and the other standing near a bicycle.

The Georgetown Film Festival is dedicated to building a sustainable film culture in Guyana through exhibition, production, and training. We create opportunities for emerging filmmakers while championing authentic Guyanese and Caribbean stories on screen. Through screenings, hands-on projects, and international partnerships, we’re growing a vibrant, community-driven film ecosystem.
